Martha, Registered Dental Hygienist
Martha has an Associate Degree in Applied Science of Dental Hygiene. She graduated from Alleghany College of Maryland in 2011. Since graduating, Martha has been consistently working in the dental hygiene field and has been working for Dr. Bolil since February 2013. Her responsibilities include providing treatment, prevention of oral diseases, patient education and awareness of overall wellness.
Her goal is to guide patients to optimal health and keep patients updated on the latest dental procedures. Martha maintains excellent rapport with patients and enjoys the challenge of helping to ease the anxiety that many patients bring to the chair. “I would like patients to feel that a visit to the dentist can be positive experience,” states Martha.
Martha feels that their practice is unique because there is true caring and compassion for their patients’ desires and needs. She notes, “Dr. Bolil’s treatment plans are based upon the specific needs of each individual patient. Everyone is special to us.”
As a Dental Hygienist, Martha promotes dental health by providing dental cleanings and gum disease therapy. She also works closely with Dr. Bolil and other team members to make sure each patient gets the appropriate dental treatment and has an overall great dental experience.
She continues to expand her skills by attending continuing education courses each year and implementing latest techniques to provide the best possible care for her patients. Martha is also certified in CPR/BLS training and is trained in the Zoom! whitening system. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.
Born and raised in Winchester, Virginia, Martha currently resides in Bunker Hill, West Virginia with her husband, Clint, and her miniature dachshund, Bentley. Martha and her husband are avid Christians and enjoy attending New Life Community Church. Martha and her husband enjoy boating, fishing, being involved with their church, and spending time with family.
Cheryl, Smile Designer (Dental Assistant)
Through the 23 years she has worked in dentistry, Cheryl has attended numerous continuing education courses on cosmetic dentistry, occlusion, practice management and Invisalign, including a hands-on course through Aesthetic Advantage, where Dr. Bolil completed one of his masterships.
Her duties include assisting Dr. Bolil with restorative dentistry, taking impressions and making provisional crowns and bridges. She also takes time to make sure patients are comfortable and pampers them with amenities such as heated neck wraps, paraffin hand dips, soft blankets and music.
She loves that everyone in the practice takes time to listen to patients and keep them comfortable. The individualized care and special treatments are important to her, and she says, “We love to hear patients say they feel they are in a dental spa. It thrills me that patients are so comfortable and relaxed that they fall asleep. Some get emotional and shed happy tears because we helped them achieve a personal smile goal.”
She has been married for 17 years, has a 12 year old son and a 10 year old daughter and enjoys camping, doing yard work and going to the beach. She and her family also show pigs at the state fair and other places, so keep your eyes open for their prizewinners!
